Challenges for Ombudsman Institutions with respect to mixed migratory flows
On Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 September, the National Ombudsman, Reinier van Zutphen will take part in the high-level conference on the "Challenges for Ombudsman Institutions with respect to mixed migratory flows". He will speak in the session dedicated to the role of the Ombudsman in the destination countries.
- Protection of irregular migrants in key areas of public and private services
- Integration of new diasporas in receiving countries: “Migrants, not a threat but an opportunity”
- Assistance to women, children, disabled, sick and elderly people.
The conference is organized by the IOI and the Ombudsman of Albania.
Other speakers in this session are the Federal Ombudsman of Belgium, Mrs. Catherine De Bruecker and Mrs Edita Ziobiene, Ombudsperson for Children's Rights, Lithuania, ENOC Chairperson.
